The Israeli Ministry of Energy anticipates a significant increase in natural gas exports to Egypt and Jordan, projecting a rise of about 134% in volume for the years 2024–2025 compared to previous years. The expected volume will reach a peak of approximately 16–18 BCM (Billion Cubic Meters) per year.

The dramatic surge is mainly due to the expansion of quantities destined for Egypt. The Israeli gas is partially used for Egyptian domestic consumption and partly for liquefaction (LNG) and subsequent re-export to European and other global markets.

This expansion is facilitated by further development of existing gas fields (such as Leviathan and Tamar) and the addition of capacity within the existing export pipelines. This development strengthens Israel's position as a key regional energy supplier, contributing to regional energy stability.
